Rebekah's First Walk

The weather was nice today, so we went for a walk around the neighborhood. She didn't wake up during the walk, but it sure was nice to get out and let the neighbors see her.

As you can see, Baron keeps a close eye on Rebekah.

Rebekah Update

Less than two weeks old and she is taking the bottle(Once I figured out how to use it!)

Busy weekend. We took Judi(Michelle's mom) to the airport on Saturday am, then came home and napped. Saturday then was picking up the house(a little) and doing a few errands. We went to church today, where Rebekah got lots of attention, and kept quite during the service - ok, she slept through it. We then went out to lunch with our friends Randy and Joan - our first time out for a meal.

Rebekah is sleeping when we swaddle her, but she is not really into just being in the crib.

I'm glad the Olympics are over, now lets get back to hockey...

Rebekah Sleeping

A picture of Rebekah sleeping. No big deal you say?

Well, last night she only woke up once - at 3am. Not bad! It would be really cool if she would fall asleep, at say, 9 or 10'o clock, instead of at midnight.

Psalm 4:8
I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; For You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.

Boy, was this fun putting together! I am just glad she likes it!

Rebekah's First Trip Out

Rebekah went to the pediatrician's office today, her first trip out of the house since coming home. The nurse looked at her and said that she looks fine!

While we were there, a little girl saw Rebekah, and just had her mouth open the whole time, saying, "Look mom, its a baby girl!" This girl could not have been more than 10 years old herself.

I noticed something today: that people don't care if you are carrying a baby. Going into the hospital, we had to wait for people to drive by, even though we were at the crosswalk first, and they had the stop sign. Also, getting on and off elevators - same kind of thing! Made me kind of mad. It also made me more aware of others with kids. Sorry for the rant.

Isaiah 40: 31 But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

Rebekah's First Bath

Michelle gave Rebekah her first bath at home this morning, and both of them did a great job! (I took video of the bath, and I will try to figure out how to upload it to the blog when I get a chance.) Rebekah is looking much better today than yesterday, as she had a little jaundice at the hospital. Everything else is looking A-OK!

I fixed the settings on the blog, so you should be able to leave comments now.

Some final pics from the hospital.

We came home from the hospital on Friday afternoon. It was cold outside(15 deg farenheit), so we kept Rebekah nice and warm.

She liked the car ride home and slept through it!

Last night was OK. Michelle stayed in the nursery for most of the night feeding and sleeping with Rebekah. So today looks like it will be low key for everyone here. It is still very cold outside(a high of 15!), so not much going on outside today.
